Foot Masks FAQ + The Best Foot Masks Available Now

A foot mask is a bag that you wrap around your feet. Here’s what one might look like:

Why Should You Use A Foot Mask?

Wearing a foot mask will help to remove dead skin cells, smooth out calluses, exfoliate and moisturize your skin. They’re cheap (the main foot mask on the market costs only $15) and you’ll only need to wear one for 15 minutes to an hour. In the coming days, your feet should start to peel, shedding all the dead skin and leaving your foot-skin silky smooth and fresh.

If you are grossed out by the skin on your feet and want to do something about it, therefore, you should consider getting a foot mask. It’s the most effective way I know of to clean up the skin on your feet (more effective than using cream).

How Should You Use A Foot Mask?

  1. Shower first, and soak your feet in warm water for 30 minutes. This will open your pores and allow the mask to work more effectively
  2. Wear the foot mask for the time recommended by the particular foot mask you’re using – probably up to an hour
  3. Continue to soak your feet in warm water every day for 30 minutes
  4. When your feet start to peel, don’t force the skin off. Be gentle. Use a foot file if you like, and if there’s some skin that is just hanging loose and can’t be peeled without some pain, use nail clippers
  5. Wait up to a week since wearing the foot mask for your feet to peel completely
